Depending on how the wind is blowing and how the DVD player is working it can be a pleasant 4 hours or an excruciating 4 hours. Since the kids are squished into the backseat 3 in a row like sardines it is not uncommon to hear a lot of "HE'S TOUCHING ME!" One method I have a implemented that works very well is to put large pizza boxes in between their car seats (don't judge.) The pizza boxes act like barriers and each child has their own space. AAAAH quiet.... well for a few minutes at least.
While in Cincinnati we visited the Zoo, Natural History Museum, and Cincinnati History Museum. We all had such a great time and were sad to leave our family on Tuesday.
Now that I am back in Ann Arbor and it's Wednesday we have another lovely box of goodies from Tantre Farm. This week I made another salad with strawberries, radishes, mint, and lettuce. Always delicious! Meatballs using our ground beef from the Old Pine Farm CSA, garlic scapes and spinach from Tantre, eggs from Two Creek Organics, and parsley from our garden (sorry Mr. Bunny.) I am taking a friend's advice and making a TON of meatballs and freezing them. I love this recipe but it is a bit time consuming so I don't make them as often as I would like. Having them in the freezer already cooked will be GREAT! And since Jon is home on vacation I will have time to make a HUGE batch tonight. Cooking is more fun then priming the bathroom vanity.
After everything was put away I realized there was still a big bunch of mint to be used.....hmmm.... ICED TEA! Ginger green tee and mint. Perfect for summer:) To be honest my first instinct was mojito's but it is Wednesday.....

Yeah... my first thought was mojitos, too. Ha!
