Searching for Curb Appeal

When we bought this house we were told that the previous owner was a "Master Gardener." This I discovered is real estate agent speak for this yard is Master Mess!! This is a street view of our house soon after we moved in. Oh my goodness...We moved into this house the end of February and the twins were born the end of March. Needless to say the yard was not top priority. We finally got around to it last fall with some help from C. I would go out during naps and in the evening and clear, chop, clear, chop. It took all spring! Finally after I had gotten rid of everything except the stumps I called the landscapers who dug up all of the stumps and laid down new sod.

This is what our yard looks like today. You can finally see the house! Next on the agenda is to repaint the front door, add some potted plants on the front step, and finish landscaping the bed in front of the garage. Hopefully this can be accomplished before winter starts. Once again I find myself with 3 projects going at once!
