Clean Out Your Garage!

If you are like me you have spent a lot of time this spring and summer in your garage. The kids toys live here, the cars, strollers etc... All the time bringing in dirt, leaves, crumbs, sticks, rocks, you name it!

Here we go! 

1. Take everything out of the garage. EVERYTHING! 
2. Hose it down, floors and walls: I get it wet before I sweep to reduce the amount of dust I will have to breath in. 
3. Sweep: Using a push broom sweep out all of the yuck!! 
4. Hose down floors again until they are clean.
5. Wipe down the walls and surfaces with a damp cloth.
6. Decide what to keep and what goes. Remember only keep what you know will be used and what you LOVE. For more instructions read this post on De-cluttering your house.
7. Once you have decided what to keep in your garage, wipe everything down with a damp cloth before putting in back. Some items will need special attention. Stay tuned for a post on cleaning your strollers!

8. Donate, Recycle, and Dispose of unused items. For more tips check out this link. Remember your garage is probably full of hazardous items so store properly and follow the rules in your area for disposal of these items.
