I love Fall. It is my absolute favorite time of year and in order to relax and really enjoy the season I must have a clean house. I don't mean tidy and neat, I mean clean and organized. Now I am not an organized person by nature, I have to put a lot of work and thought into keeping things together around here.
So lets get ready together. The official start of Fall is September 22nd but lets give ourselves until the last day of September to really get ready. I am so excited!
List of Fall Cleaning and Organizing
1) Purge! Go from room to room and get rid of anything you do not need.
2) Clean the garage
3) Clean strollers
4) Clean cars including car seats
5) Organize files
6) Get up to date on Photo Albums
7) Clean and Store outdoor furniture and toys
8) Clean the porch
9) Organize closets
10) Switch out summer bedding for cool weather bedding
11) Launder all bedding ( quilts, duvets, pillows, cases etc...)
12) Clean gutters
13) Turn mattresses
14) Vacuum mattresses, box springs, and bed frames
15) Rotate books in shelves to prevent warping
16) Wipe baseboards and molding
17) Sweep out Fireplace
18) Clean leather Furniture
19) Replace baking soda in fridge and freezers
20) Clean Ovens
21) Wipe Kitchen ceiling
22) Clean the Fridge
23) Remove contents of kitchen cabinets and wipe down
24) Clean pots and pans, shine glassware
25) Organize pantry
26) Weed garden and put fresh mulch on beds
27) Deep clean kids toys and furniture
28) Wash and groom pets
29) Stock the freezer with yummy ready to go meals
30) Wash inside and outside of windows
31) Schedule an appointment to have your furnace serviced
32) Replace batteries in smoke detectors
33) Plan winter vacation!
26) Weed garden and put fresh mulch on beds
27) Deep clean kids toys and furniture
28) Wash and groom pets
29) Stock the freezer with yummy ready to go meals
30) Wash inside and outside of windows
31) Schedule an appointment to have your furnace serviced

ReplyDeleteYou really clean the kitchen ceiling? I would never ever think to do that!
Jenny: Get your bags packed. It is happening! and yes the ceiling can get kind of greasy from cooking so it is nice just to wipe it off every once in a while. In college I used to clean apartments after people moved out and may I say.... the kitchen ceiling can get pretty gross! Who knew!?
