The weather is turning cooler and the holidays are on their way. Do you have your hostess gifts ready? Hostess gifts are a great way to show people how much you appreciate being invited into their homes. And nothing is more thoughtful than something you have made by hand.
They really don't need to be extravagant. For most situations a jar of your homemade jam, applesauce, or anything else yummy you canned this summer is perfect. Not into canning? Pick up a few jars of delicious jams, jellies or even honey from your local farmers market and keep them on hand for any impromptu get togethers. Add a cute little tag and you are ready to go, no wrapping needed.
Do you have a go to hostess gift? I would love to hear about it!

Cute! You are really on a roll with those dryer balls - I want some. Waiting to see if I win, if not, will be making some. Or maybe you could sell some on Etsy!
ReplyDeleteI know, I think I may have a bit of an obsession. Definitely going to be giving them as holiday gifts this year. I will post how to make them when I post the winners on Tuesday along with a few links where you can buy them.
ReplyDeleteIf I don't win the contest can I get on your holiday gift list :)
ReplyDeleteI love the organic style of your blog! This basket is such a great idea. Hostess gifts are so appreciated though often overlooked. There are only a few hours left of the Pretty Packages Party, but I would be honored if you would share this.

ReplyDeleteI think that your homemade hostess is very thoughtful. Not eveyone takes the time and patience to make something and then give it away as a treasured gift. Linda
ReplyDeleteSuch a great gift idea! Since I have a monogram business, I usually take a personalized hand towel as a hostess gift. Also fresh bread is a great gift...it would be even better with some of your homemade jams! Lisa~
