Spring Cleaning For Charity Link Party & $100 Lowes Giveaway!

Hi everyone and welcome to my first annual Spring Cleaning For Charity Link Party!!!! Oh, and did I mention I am giving away a $100 gift card to Lowes to one lucky winner? 



This is a party where you can link up your favorite spring cleaning post. But the most important part, that I want all of you to do, is include how many bags/ items you were able to donate and to what charity in your post. (I don't need specifics just how many bags or bins.)

Thats right, lets see how much we can all give back this year while de-cluttering and simplifying our lives. I know there are a million spring cleaning linky parties this year and I want you to pass this on. The more people that know about it the better.

Think about how many of us are out there doing the same thing this time of year. How amazing would it be to see how much we were able to give as a group! If you think about it.... it could be HUGE!

The party is open until May 9th. This should give us all time to get our de-cluttering and donating completed and link up.

The winner of the giveaway will be announced along with our grand total of donations and list of charities on May 12th.

    Hi there wonderful you! I would use a Lowe's $100 gift card to help fix up the old house I'm moving into this summer when I move back to Oregon to be closer to my elderly parents...

    Hello, I would love to win. I sure could use it as I am in the midst of trying' to redecorate my home.
    I am donating a black leather recliner that has the electric back massager in it. (It's very nice and was very expensive) The in-laws gave it to us not too long ago, and it's not working out in my home as I really have no place to put it. I'm also donating a like-brand-new large crockpot and a Food Saver, some clothes and good shoes. All to The Kidney Foundation. They left a card saying they would come and pick up tomorrow.

    I thought of saving these items and putting them in a yard sale that I am having this summer, but I thought I would donate instead.

    I don't have Facebook, so I can't link up there.

    I love your pretty party button and I will try hard to post this to my site if I can remember to take pictures. That way I can leave a picture for the link.

    I have been spring cleaning and have already purged 15 large garbage bags of clothes and toys and multiple pieces of furniture and appliances. Unfortunately I have a lot more to go! I love your blog and would love to win the gift card to finish remodeling my son's room.

    Recently, I tackled the closet in the master bedroom...it was really bad, but turned out really good! I filled 6{!} garbage bags full of clothes and shoes and, after letting some friends have first dibs, took the rest to the thrift store.

    Oh, and I would love to be a condender for the gift card...we need new lighting and paint...maybe new curtains and/or blinds and some outdoor furniture...

    Sarah--I haven't blogged about my spring cleaning, but I gathered boxes and boxes and boxes of stuff waiting for my local charity to call. They didn't call, so I hauled it all to a local charity last week. I had to make three trips into the store with a shopping cart.
    Like I said I haven't blogged about it due to the wedding, but I sure would LOVE to win a Lowes gift card!
    I would gladly link the post where I cleaned out the closet and gathered the stuff. (but it's an older post) just let me know. :)

    Oh goodness, I forgot to mention that this spring cleaning project didn't mention what we donated, but I have 4 kids and was able to donate 8 bags/boxes of seasonal clothing and shoes from swaping out my kids' winter to spring clothes!

    Wow, I've been cleaning and doing a major purge and I know a lot of things will be going to charity, but I don't have a "body count" yet. That being said though, I'd LOVE to win a Lowe's gift card. Once I have all that new room because of the decluttering, I'm sure I'll have a project or two to do!
