Spray paint. We all love it. But sometimes things can go very wrong. Not to worry, here are a few ways to fix almost any spray paint disaster.
This is what happens when you hold your nozzle too close and spray to heavily.
Drips
Drips
and even the dreaded crackling. Which, I have come to know is from not waiting 24 hours between coats. Patients is a virtue, right?
Wait until your paint is dry and grab your very fine grit wet or dry sand paper. I chose the 1000 grit.
Add some dish soap to a bowl of water and get your sand paper soapy and wet, rub away your mistakes!
Using a super fine grit paper is awesome. It smoothes it right down and keeps the finish. I didn't even have to re- coat all of the mistakes. Just the ones where the wood was exposed. Just remember to let dry for 24 hours between coats or you may be doing this again to fix your crackles. I know because it happened.
Good advice thanks.
