Last Thursday I visited the warehouse for the store Repurposed. You probably know the owner Cari Cucksey from her show Cash and Cari on HGTV? I know right, SO cool. Anyway I was given this little chair and fabric to refinish so she and her crew could see what I could do (insert me jumping up and down, freaking out.)
I brought her home washed her, lightly sanded, primed, and painted with several coats of white gloss spray paint.
Quickly emailed Cassie over at Primitive and Proper just to make sure I didn't need to seal it with anything. I had to double check folks, I SO did not want to screw this up.
Attached the fabric with my staple gun (who may need a name soon.)
And finally the double welt cord. This time I stapled it on, the velour was pouffy and hid the staples well. I really liked how well this went and will probably staple on the welt in the future, if I can get away with it. The trick is to hide the staple along the center seam.
I never thought I would like orange velour so much, but I kinda think this chair rocks!
I went today to drop of this chair and chat with Cari about more work. To make a long story short, I was sent home with some more goodies to work on, YAY. I also got to meet another blogger, Jennifer from Garage Sale Diaries. Who was there helping out too. Such a great day. I have never met a fellow blogger before, so cool! Oh, and.....
