Pink Chair- Before & After

Isn't she pretty and completely impractical?

Before...

First I took all of the fabric off and set it aside.

Got her ready for a little spray paint.

Fancy.

via

painted the whole chair with Minwax Jocobean and let sit for about 10 minutes. Just until it started to get a little tacky.

Wiped it off with a clean, dry rag.

Gorgeous. Next I sealed it with a rub on poly in satin.

Added a liner so the black fabric wouldn't show through the pink. I just used some old curtain liners for this. Nothing fancy.

Cut out the new fabric.

Attached with my staple gun. For the back I used Curve- Ease at the top and staples down the sides and bottom.

I covered the staples with a double welt cord. You can read the tutorial, HERE.

So pretty.

  14. Denise- No this is my entryway. It would be covered in goo in about 5 minutes. It is hiding out on the porch right now:)

  30. I love it! I don't understand at which step the gold came in... you put on the Jacobean, waited until tacky, wiped off, and then is shows gold, but not how you got there.

    Thanks so much!
