Weekend Cleaning Project: The Pantry- Before & After

After

I put the twins down for their nap yesterday and came back down to get some lunch. Opened the door to the pantry and this is what I was looking at.

Who did this? Oh, wait it has been like this for months. 

I store a lot of our dry goods on these open shelves so also include this area in my pantry description.

Yes, this is also my "office."

So I took everything off of the shelves, got rid of all the expired food, consolidated everything.

Wiped the shelves, walls, and floors down with Basic G.

 The wipes are great for quickly wiping off services and I use Basic G for big jobs. 

So why are these better than your average disinfectant?

I have to say I am so excited to have found these products. I only occasionally used bleach or an aerosol disinfectant in the past. It was always in the evening when the kids were asleep and I could open the windows. I didn't want them to breath all of the fumes. But now I don't have to worry. Yay!

I was really happy that I hadn't used bleach because about 30 minutes into this whole process, I realized the twins had decided NOT to take a nap. So they came downstairs and we all cleaned out the garbage and recycling cans together.
