So I am perusing Horchow last week and stumble upon this gorgeous writing desk from the John- Richard collection. Sleek, stylish, hello! Since I already have a writing desk I really can't justify a new one. Ugh, what is a girl to do? I guess I'm going to have to make one. Fun!
John- Richard Collection Mirrored Writing Desk |
Before
Cute but I think we can do better |
After
Now this little writing desk has some personality |
Oh dear she looks awesome in the entry-way too. Can I can keep her locked away in the closet? No one keeps baby in the corner right?!
What do you think? Should I keep the desk in the "cloffice" or out in the entry-way? I can't decide.

*Gasp!* I must know how you did this! I have a cute mirrored desk from Pier 1 that I got on clearance for $100. I love it so much but can't afford any of the other pieces. And I have the exact same problem. My desk is inside my closet, where it works perfectly, but it seems like there are so many better places to put it, where it will actually be seen :)
ReplyDeletewow, Sarah, I am so impressed! Can't wait for the tutorial. you might have to let her "shine" in the front hall!
ReplyDeleteLove this! I am so excited for the tutorial! I'm sure I'll have to add it to my list of projects that I want to do!
ReplyDeleteWow, it looks beautiful and classy! I'd keep in the entry way for everyone that comes in can admire it.
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic! You should link it up to 733's Knock it Off Contest.

ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful. I'm getting ready to do this to my piano. I'd love to see how you did it.
ReplyDeleteLike the others, I'd leave little Miss Sunshine in the hall. She needs to strut her stuff!
It looks amazing! I would be torn too. It looks good both places! As for me...I would be forced to think about what is most functional. Would you still use it as much in the entryway?

ReplyDeleteHoly crapola! You adding FAB to something already fabulous! You my dear have an eye for loveliness. I am now wondering when you can make me one. I would love one of these in a mommy cave. I will be lucky if I ever get one of those...I might have to settle for a corner, but if I had something like that...what a SPECTACULAR corner it would be...you are so smart. Tables -- chairs....when can you spread the wealth to me? :)

ReplyDeleteThis is so gorgeous...and I actually prefer yours to the original! I would LOVE to see a tutorial. As far as placement goes, I'm torn. The nice thing about the entryway is that it will get noticed, but I absolutely ADORE the way it works with the graphics in the closet!
