High End Look For Less- Mirrored Writing Desk

So I am perusing Horchow last week and stumble upon this gorgeous writing desk from the John- Richard collection. Sleek, stylish, hello! Since I already have a writing desk I really can't justify a new one. Ugh, what is a girl to do? I guess I'm going to have to make one. Fun!

John- Richard Collection Mirrored Writing Desk
Before

Cute but I think we can do better

 After

Now this little writing desk has some personality

Oh dear she looks awesome in the entry-way too. Can I can keep her locked away in the closet? No one keeps baby in the corner right?!

What do you think? Should I keep the desk in the "cloffice" or out in the entry-way? I can't decide.

  1. *Gasp!* I must know how you did this! I have a cute mirrored desk from Pier 1 that I got on clearance for $100. I love it so much but can't afford any of the other pieces. And I have the exact same problem. My desk is inside my closet, where it works perfectly, but it seems like there are so many better places to put it, where it will actually be seen :)

  7. It's beautiful. I'm getting ready to do this to my piano. I'd love to see how you did it.

Like the others, I'd leave little Miss Sunshine in the hall. She needs to strut her stuff!

  8. It looks amazing! I would be torn too. It looks good both places! As for me...I would be forced to think about what is most functional. Would you still use it as much in the entryway?

  15. Holy crapola! You adding FAB to something already fabulous! You my dear have an eye for loveliness. I am now wondering when you can make me one. I would love one of these in a mommy cave. I will be lucky if I ever get one of those...I might have to settle for a corner, but if I had something like that...what a SPECTACULAR corner it would be...you are so smart. Tables -- chairs....when can you spread the wealth to me? :)

    Cheers~
